Just orthopedy uses ortheses for treatment (special devices put on a limb to improve functionality or to correct deformations, such as corsets of different types and forms)and prostheses (body parts or limb models installed on the site of an injury or serious pathology to recover functions partially or fully). Speaking about orthopedy we must not forget about the importance of pediatric orthopedy.
